I built Λutominous to get impartial news about AI every day. It's an experiment, a work in progress, but it's good practice as I swiftly close the gap from strategist to my goal of running multiple one-person companies. Having studied AI implementation and ethics around eight years ago, I wanted a zero bias platform, and was fascinated by the irony of AI reporting on itself, then making binary judgements on whether it was good or bad.

To avoid creating more AI slop, I've baked in forced self awareness. The site knows exactly what it is, writes impartially but also makes judgement.

I named it so because I think most AI coverage sits in one of two broken positions: too excited or too alarmed. Neither serves the people whose lives are actually being changed. Λutominous sits in the place where thoughtful people actually are, paying careful attention to something that matters enormously, without pretending to know how it ends.

The lambda (Λ) is the mathematical symbol for change, the rate at which one state becomes another, making it the single most precise character to represent what AI is doing to the world of work. It replaces the A not as a stylistic flourish, but as a statement. This is not just a publication, it is a deeper measurement.
